About Tractor Beam
Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Tractor Beam originally started as a trio team of young entrepreneuring talents. We were a marketing and brand consulting company serving Edmonton, Spruce Grove & Sherwood Park area businesses. Now 10 years and a lot of coffee later, Tractor Beam is now the freelancing creative studio of one person, James Rozak.
So hellooooo! – I’m James! I’ve been working in the marketing and design business for nearly 20 years. I am a lot of things – but I like to think of myself as a man of all things creative. I can build websites, do custom illustration, creative writing, photography, videography – and pretty much anything else that requires an artistic touch.

In 2011, Tractor Beam began working closely with Microtek Corporation in Edmonton as a creative provider of design services for big and small businesses. The relationship has continued to the present day, with Microtek specializing as a top level Web Design and development company in Alberta. Tractor Beam helps bolster the creative design team at Microtek – and it’s worked out pretty well!
